San Diego, CA - July24, 2003 Travel Talk Radio will be celebrating The American Bus Association (ABA) with special guest PETER J PANTUSO, President and CEO of the ABA. Peter and Sandy will discuss touring by bus and some practical hints for curious travelers and new motorcoach riders. The ABA represents approximately 950 motorcoach and tour companies in the United States and Canada. Its members operate charter, tour, regular route, airport express, special operations and contract services (commuter, school, transit). Another 2,300 member organizations represent the travel and tourism industry and suppliers of bus products and services who work in partnership with the North American motorcoach industry.

Peter was quoted as saying, "Our industry is in a unique position. While the giants provide critical services, it is not without a hefty subsidy from the federal government and the nation’s taxpayers. Yet motorcoaches actually carry more passengers in the U.S. each year than the airlines and Amtrak combined-774 million passengers annually, providing a variety of services to more than 5,000 communities".
